My Approach

With almost 20 years of experience in working in mental health, I've had the privilege of working with diverse demographics including: neuro-diverse individuals, young parents, families and youth. Most recently, before starting my private practice, I provided support to incredibly strong and inspiring women navigating challenging mental health diagnoses.

 

Currently, I'm on the path towards registration with the CRPO and am practicing under the guidance of a Registered Psychotherapist.

 

My therapeutic approach is eclectic, meaning I tailor techniques from various modalities to create a personalized therapeutic journey for each client. 

 

Based in Toronto and serving Ontario residents, I offer a flexible and integrative approach to counselling. My focus lies in creating a safe, non-judgmental space where clients can explore their concerns and needs. Specializing in anxiety, depression, and coping skills, I empower clients through interpersonal connection, mindful reflection, and body awareness.

 

I believe that clients are the experts in their own lives and that my role is to empower you to create space for growth, while ensuring that we move at a pace that feels comfortable for you. I aim to demystify the therapeutic process and welcome any and all questions. My goal is to equip you with the necessary tools, provide opportunities for learning and to listen with intention as you explore the labyrinth that is you.

What sets me apart is my dedication to fostering curiosity and finding creative ways to explore the mystery of ourselves.  I hope to help cultivate fresh perspectives and ways of being that suit you today and build toward a more balanced tomorrow.

About Me

With a burning curiosity about the complexities of people and a natural desire to help others, my journey of self-discovery began in my teenage years. I've found myself repeatedly drawn to the realm of mental health and wellness. Fueled by an innate curiosity about both others and myself, I've embarked on a lifelong quest for inner understanding and self-awareness.

My need to explore and learn has led me to study yoga abroad and moon-light as a teacher for over a decade. Practicing yoga keeps me grounded and flexible. I've explored meditation, most notably in the Vipassana tradition, completing a transformative 10-day silent meditation experience. I continue to strive to carve out moments daily to attempt to create space (if not clarity) in my mind.

I find inspiration in and am energized by time in nature (often with my fair-weather companion Cass).

​

An appetite for knowledge characterizes my approach to life- I consider myself a life-long student. Whether I'm immersed in the pages of a book, reading online articles or dabbling in the art of writing I am continually engaged in the pursuit of new insights and perspectives.  

​

I like to get lost in the meditative rhythm of cooking, even if the end result isn't always guaranteed. I love to play in the dirt, taking pleasure in growing vegetables and herbs, I find joy in the process of cultivation and creation. 

 

When weather and wind permit, I hope to spend plenty of quality time unfolding my origami-style kayak to explore the waters of Lake Ontario and beyond.
